A week in December

So, you all know that December is MY month!  First my birthday on the 18th, then Christmas just a week later.  You know I make out like a bandit!

Mmmm, I wonder what I got for Christmas?

I can't think of Christmas yet!  I've still got my birthday to get through!

Oompah says I'M the best present anybody could get!
Don't let the t-shirt fool you!
I know HOW to be nice........

I just don't always want to be!

Ha ha!  Just Kidding!  Are you reading this Santa?

Santa must have bought my "nice" act.  He brought me some drums!

I love hats!

It's exhausting being the life of the party!

Ahhh, sweet refuge!

What a great week!  Oompah says if I keep getting any smarter and learning my words faster, I'll have to start actually writing my own blog, instead of dictating to him.

For Oompah's friends

This is the way the Christmas Story would be told today!

Here come the holidays!

Where to begin?  Let's start by saying I miss my Oompah when he's out of town for a long time.  He was gone 5 whole days last time, so I got some of his clothes out of the closet and decided to play "dress up."  I look just like him, don't I?

Go Bears!
Then, all of a sudden, it was Thanksgiving!  We had planned to go to Great-Grammas cabin for the holiday, but the snow was higher than I am and the power went out, so we had to change our plans and have it at our house instead!  Maybe we'll get back to the cabin next year!
We didn't have many leftovers last year, so Mommie and Mare Mare cooked two this year!

"Family, getting together to thank God for each other is what it's all about," says Oompah.

Great-gramma wanted a picture of all of her kids, grandkids (and me, of course)

Have you met my other Great-gramma?  I call her Nana.  She was here, too.  We had fun.

Oompah said to "pose".  I don't know what that means!  So I just kind of stood there with Nana.

Just havin' a little "girl-talk".  Oompahs not allowed.

After Thanksgiving, it was time to bring out the Christmas decorations---starting with the tree!

Mmmm, these ornaments look interesting!  Mare Mare, how about this one?

I tried to untangle the bead garland, but I didn't get very far!

Here's the family Christmas tree, all done!  Cool, huh?  It's 100% Raggedy Ann and Andy.  (Mare Mare's got TONS of Raggedy Ann and Andy stuff!)
And since I'm a "princess", I get my OWN tree!  And this year, I got to put it up in the LIVING ROOM!
Here it is all decorated.

And lit up!  Mommy and me wanted a pink-flocked tree, but Mare Mare "vetoed" that, whatever that means!

Isn't this a neat tree-topper?

Well, that's all for now.  I'll try to get some more pictures posted as we get closer to Christmas, but Oompah's going to be real busy until then.  God Bless all of you!  Merry Christmas!

Halloween happenings

Halloween!  It's Mommy's favorite holiday!  I have a feeling it may become mine, too!  Here's how my Halloween went today:
First, we have to check the condition of the jack-o-lanterns that Mare-Mare and Mommy made!  Yep!  They're all working right!

What?  Not every trick-or-treater has a chauffeur???

Oompah said I had to use this picture just to show I'm not always in the best of moods! Boy!, Do I have HIM fooled!  I'm such an actress!

Where were we?  Oh, yeah--the chauffeur!  Let's go!

I can turn the charm on when I want to.

Bet you can't guess which hand the candy is in!

Silly!  I don't have any candy yet!
I told you I was a good actress!  I made out like a bandit!

I just had to show you our jack-o-lanterns one more time to keep you in the mood!  Pretty good, huh?

They're even cooler when it's dark and they are only lit with candles!

I'll see you again on my next post!

What Oompah said vs what I heard

Oompah said, "Lily, let me do some work on the computer!"  But he didn't really mean it.  What he meant to say was, "Lily, let's watch some YouTube videos of the the Wiggles."  People say Oompah does whatever I want to do, and that he spoils me.  Do I look spoiled to you????

A LITTLE FUN, A LITTLE WORK

It was a busy couple of weekends!  First, I went to my friend Luke's birthday party!  Happy Birthday, Luke!
I never go anywhere without my Foster Grants!
Meet my friend Luke!  Hello, Luke!
I don't know if you've noticed, but I kind of have a "thing" for hats!  Isn't this great?
Hey, Luke!  Nice wheels!
NO, NO, NO!  I'm not that kind of girl!
I told you, I'm into hats!
I thought I would end the day with a little light reading.

Today, Mare-Mare and I got ready for Winter by stacking some wood.

First, we had to load the wheel barrow........

You may think this isn't much, but you should see the stack!
See?  Every little piece helps!
Mare-Mare wanted me to bring her the broom, but I didn't know which one!
Mare-Mare, what do you mean---you want ME to sweep?

Bears

Around MY house during college football season, Saturday is CAL day.  We all get dressed up in CAL clothing and watch the games on TV.  If Oompah is smart enough to buy single game tickets, we actually go to the game.  But watching it on TV is just as fun!  Today, we played Colorado.  We beat the tar out of them, 52-7!

"You know it."
"You know the story"
"You tell the whole wide world!"
"MareMare, can't you see it?"  "This is BEAR territory!"
"You know it, you know the story, you tell the whole wide world, this is Bear Territory."
Go Bears!
