Yosemite Adventures

This last July, I took a trip to Yosemite to take on Glacier Point!  Looks pretty tough, huh?

Who wouldn't want to climb this "rock"?

As long as you have the right partner and right equipment, you're all set!  Hi, Mommy!

If one partner is good, two is better!  Hi, Auntie Sarah!

Ok, Mar Mar, you can come along, too.  After all 3 partners is really good!

How can we can go wrong now?  With all of this support, I can do anything!

Lots of fun was had on the hike....or so I see by the pictures...because......

I stayed behind in the village with Mommy and we had fun going to a Junior Ranger event, where I earned my Junior Ranger badge!  Maybe in a few more years I can actually go on a hike with Mommy and MarMar and keep up!

Time IN!

I know, I know!  It's been a while since I've posted, but quite frankly, I've been busy growing up!  Anyway, here are some of my most recent pictures.  Last week Mommy, Mar-Mar, and Oompah took me to the Oakland Zoo:

Of course, any girl knows the day has to start with a cup of "coffee".  In my case, it's iced chocolate milk from either Peet's (my favorite) or Starbucks.

Then it was off to the zoo.  The animals were interesting, but there's nothing like a good amusement park to get my smile going!

I had soooooo much fun!!!

Oompah just can't stop playing with his new iPhone, with all the gimmicks like the "reverse camera".

He probably gets it from Mommy, who really knows how to take a good picture.  (Even if I do say so myself!)

Today, we went to a baseball game in San Francisco.  Our team, the Giants, won!  They beat the Colorado Rockies by a score of 9-6!  Hurray!

Auntie Sarah came up with a new word today to describe Oompah and Mar-Mar.  She said, "Oh, isn't that cute, a picture of Lily with the "Oomparents".  Oompah says he kind of likes the sound of that.  MarMar isn't so sure.

Well, we found our seats.  Play Ball!!!!

I had so much fun.
So long for now!

Boo (How scary is candy corn, anyway?)

Halloween!  I'm almost 3 years old now, so it's a lot more exciting!  Plus I had my first candy. Ever. Pay no attention to what Oompah says.  Really.  It was my first candy.  Ummmm!

Anyway, I thought I could share a few pictures with all of you to show off my costume and my Mommy, too!

I was so excited to get going, I could barely contain myself!  Like my costume?  Isn't Mommy pretty?

OK, Mommy.  Let's go over this one more time, OK?  This is fun!

Let me get this straight.  You're going to let me have one?
Alright!  How do I open this?  Where's Oompah when I need him?

Never mind.  I got it.  Man!  This is fun, but I couldn't do this every day!  Wait!  What am I saying?

Well, that's it for Halloween!  I had a lot of fun!  See you at Thanksgiving!

Birthdays and Waterfalls, Pumpkins and PONIES!

This last Sunday, we went to Apple Hill to help my cousin Frankie (Francesca) celebrate her 18th birthday! There was cupcakes and waterfalls, pumpkin patches, caramel apples, Mommy and MarMar, Sarah and Tony, Grandma and of course Frankie and Aunt Carolyn.  Paige and Aunt Vickie were there, too.  Did I mention the ponies?  OMG, I love ponies!   I had so much fun!
Here's the Birthday Girl!  Happy Birthday, Frankie!

Mommy and me enjoying the moment.
Mommy, Frankie, Jasmine (the furry one) and me by the waterfall.
MarMar and I liked the water wheel.  Oompah says he likes this picture a lot.
MarMar, quit taking pictures!  Let's get on with the party!  But then again, Oompah says he loves this picture, too!
Well, here we are in the pumpkin patch.  As you can see, I was having a great time.  Would you believe I lifted these pumpkins and put them in place for this picture?  Would you like to buy some prime real estate in the Florida marshlands?
This was my first choice.......
...but I settled for this one.
And then I rode a pony, which just wasn't the same as...........
The real thing!  I actually got a 2nd ride without MarMar walking next to me.  The horse's name, by the way, is "Cowboy." When talking about me in this picture, you can call me 'Cowgirl Lily.'  If you want to.  Otherwise, 'Princess Lily' will do just fine.
All in all, I had such a great day!  When I woke up Monday morning, I guess I had been dreaming so much about what a great day I had that I told Mommy all about it again, just to remind her that she "done good" with this trip!

A Star is Born!

I went for pizza and karaoke tonight with Mommy.  I was a little hesitant at first, but I had a big finish. "A is for Apple", you know.  Oompah couldn't embed the video for some reason, so here's the link to my YouTube video.  Enjoy!

Oompah's cracking up!

Since my last post, I haven't seen Oompah much because he works far away and is gone for a week at a time, so Mommy sends him pictures of me.  He says he can't stop laughing!  I don't know why! I'm just a normal girl doing what girls do!  Take a look!
I drink coffee (actually, it's a diluted chocolate milk, but I don't really know any better)

I visit friends on their birthdays (Happy Birthday, Luke!)

I help Mar-Mar with minor repairs around the house (Here I am helping to fix Grandma Patty's sewing machine--"Hey Mar-Mar!  Hold the light steady, please!")
I even take baths every night!  Whether I'm at the cabin.........

...or at home. (Like my hair?  I just washed it and can't do a thing with it!)
Ok, Ok, every once in a while I cut loose and put parmesan cheese on my head.  What girl doesn't?

See you next time!  ;-)

Ice Cream Safari at the Sacramento Zoo

I love the zoo.  I love the animals.  I love the carousel. I love Mommy, Oompah, Mare-Mare, Sarah, and Tony.  I love ice cream.  That made Saturday night's trip to Ice Cream Safari at the Sacramento Zoo a win-win-win-win-win-win-win-win-win-win situation!  Enjoy the pictures!  I enjoyed the zoo!
Ok, That's it for now!  See you next time!
